The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted its surprise closure of El Paso’s airspace after provoking alarm and threatening major disruptions in the US border city. The FAA announced that the airspace over the Texas metropolis would be closed to all aircraft for 10 days, citing unspecified national “security reasons.” The FAA updated its guidance on Wednesday morning, saying on X: “The temporary closure of airspace over El Paso has been lifted.” — AFP
