Sayyid Badr visits Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre

 

WASHINGTON: As part of his official visit to the United States, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, visited the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre here on February 3.
Upon his arrival at the centre, he was received by Ambassador Talal bin Saif al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States, and Dr Majid al Khalili, Executive Director of the centre. They accompanied Sayyid Badr on a tour of the centre’s various facilities, departments and programmes.


During the visit, Sayyid Badr was briefed on the centre’s cultural and educational programmes and activities, which aim to enhance the Omani cultural presence in the United States and present a comprehensive image of the Sultanate of Oman, its heritage, its humanitarian values and its message of tolerance, openness and understanding among peoples.
Sayyid Badr also received a briefing on the role of the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre by organising cultural events, exhibitions, lectures and educational programmes. These activities contribute in strengthening cultural exchange and intercultural dialogue between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States, and in expanding engagement with American cultural, intellectual and academic institutions.
