SALALAH: The Oman Cancer Association, Dhofar branch, organised the first edition of the 'Recreational and Sports Forum for Cancer Patients' at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, coinciding with World Cancer Day.
Zain Al Abidin bin Ali al Ajili, overseeing the association’s president, said the forum aims to raise awareness and provide psychological and moral support to cancer patients and their families. He highlighted the importance of physical activity as part of treatment and said the event fosters an interactive atmosphere that strengthens family integration and mutual support.

She emphasised programmes designed to improve patients’ quality of life and promote early detection through health and awareness initiatives.
The forum featured recreational and sports activities for patients, alongside sections dedicated to the Dhofar branch, private health institutions, and family and child support.
