Inma allocates RO 33 million SME financing

MUSCAT: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund (Inma) announced the opening of financing applications for the new year 2026, as part of its continued efforts to empower entrepreneurs and SME owners to benefit from its financing products and services, supporting their businesses and enhancing their role in strengthening the national economy.
Yahya bin Saleh al Siyabi, Head of Marketing at Inma, said the total amount allocated for SME financing this year stands at RO 33 million, distributed among the Fund’s branches in Suhar and Salalah in addition to its headquarters in Muscat. He noted that the Fund will continue operating under established procedures and requirements enabling beneficiaries to obtain financing, ensuring continuity of support and easier access to financial services.
He explained that the Inma Fund places significant importance on SMEs as a key pillar of economic development in the Sultanate of Oman. The Fund focuses on project quality and economic feasibility regardless of sector, while continuing to support priority sectors including tourism, services, infrastructure and transportation, oil and gas, industry and trade.
He added that the Fund is keen to encourage SME owners to sustain their operations by offering flexible repayment periods of up to eight years for selected financing products, easing financial burdens and supporting operational sustainability.
He confirmed that Inma will continue offering several benefits to clients this year, including a field-visit programme designed to monitor projects on the ground, assess performance and provide guidance and advice to owners, thereby enhancing growth and development opportunities.
Total funding provided by the Inma Fund for SMEs during the past year reached approximately RO 25 million, benefiting nearly 366 enterprises across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. — ONA
