Indian School Wadi Kabir marks 77th Republic Day

The Indian School Wadi Kabir [Cambridge] in Muscat formally observed the 77th Republic Day of India on January 26, 2026.
The proceedings, conducted at the ISWK Primary School Grounds, were anchored in the resonant theme of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat & Vande Mataram.'

The programme commenced with a formal introduction, leading to the arrival of the Chief Guest, N. D. Someshwar, a distinguished figure in banking, corporate finance, and educational administration.
A Guard of Honour, comprising 50 Scouts and Guides from the Senior Wing, was meticulously presented to salute the Chief Guest, dignitaries, and members of the School Management Committee.
The Chief Guest inspected a ceremonial parade, which featured a disciplined march past by student contingents from both the Cambridge and Senior School wings, accompanied by the cadence of the school band. A choral performance of the patriotic medley 'Yeh Waqt Ki Aawaz Hai, Milke Chalo”, succeeded by the rendition and 150th anniversary celebration of the classic “Vande Mataram' by Senior School students.
The cultural segment, “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” presented a vibrant tableau of traditional dances from across India, performed by students of the Senior, Primary, and Cambridge wings. The showcase celebrated the nation’s cultural diversity and underlying unity.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks. The event was widely acknowledged as a demonstration of exemplary student discipline, artistic talent, and profound national respect, leaving a marked impression upon all attendees.
