MUSCAT: Oman will host the 15th edition of the Fiber Connect Council MENA Conference and Expo on February 2–3, 2026 in Muscat, under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Dr Adham bin Turki al Said.
The two-day event will bring together 14 leading national and international companies specialising in fibre, artificial intelligence and communications technologies, alongside more than 20 expert speakers and delegates from over 20 countries across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.
An accompanying exhibition will run alongside the conference, showcasing innovations in fibre networks, 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), data centres and wider digital infrastructure.
Held under the theme “Fiber Empowered Futures: Connecting Intelligence, Infrastructure and Innovation”, the conference will highlight milestones in digital transformation across the MENA region and focus on fibre’s role as the foundation for future-ready digital economies, organisers said.
Key topics will include next-generation fibre networks, open-access models, data centres, sustainability, smart cities and how fibre connectivity can support inclusive digital growth. The programme features keynote speeches, expert-led panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at strengthening dialogue, collaboration and strategic partnerships across Oman, the wider MENA region and Europe.

Dr Alaa Jasim, President of Fiber Connect Council MENA, said the conference continues to provide a platform where industry leaders and policymakers can exchange insights, address challenges and explore opportunities shaping the next phase of connectivity in the region.
He added that hosting the event in Muscat reflects Oman’s expanding digital infrastructure and aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which places digital transformation, advanced connectivity and knowledge-based growth at the heart of national development.
Organisers said the council will also unveil a new regional study on the evolving digital infrastructure landscape in MENA. The study highlights fibre as the often underestimated backbone of AI-ready infrastructure, enabling the convergence of fibre-to-the-home, 5G, data centres and AI applications at scale; and points to a shift from expanding connectivity towards building computing capacity, driven by investments in hyperscale and sovereign data centres, subsea cable systems and fibre-deep networks.
The 15th edition is supported by 14 national and international sponsors. Oman Broadband Company and Ooredoo are platinum sponsors, while Omantel is the technology partner and Earthlink Telecommunications the strategic partner, organisers said.
The exhibition will also provide a networking platform for participants to engage directly with companies showcasing technologies and solutions shaping the future of connectivity, they added.
