Muscat: The 2026 Inoxera Global Summit, themed 'The Future of Innovation in Smart Education and Training', kicked off on Tuesday under the auspices of Majid bin Said al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs. This event reaffirms the Sultanate of Oman's role as a leading regional destination in adopting modern educational technology and building a sustainable knowledge-based society.
Dr Sultan bin Mohammed al Kindi, Director-General of Vocational and Technical Education at the Ministry of Education, said the ministry's sponsorship of this summit for the second consecutive year embodies Oman's unwavering commitment to achieving digital educational leadership that places teachers and learners at the heart of technological transformation. He noted that the Sultanate of Oman is currently shaping a flexible and sustainable educational future that aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Mohammed al Madani, CEO of Classera, stated that the Inoxera Summit in Muscat has become a cornerstone of innovation in the region. He expressed the company's pride in its fruitful collaboration with the Ministry of Education to deliver a new generation of smart technologies that harness technology to serve human creativity, making the Omani experience an inspiring model to be emulated globally.

The summit also featured distinguished participation in the dialogue sessions from representatives of ministries and educational bodies from outside Oman, such as Dr Fatima Ibrahim Ruwais, Deputy Director-General of the Unesco Regional Centre for Quality and Excellence, and representatives from the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), as well as other experts, thinkers and researchers in the fields addressed by the summit.
This second edition of the summit complements and builds upon the efforts undertaken by the ministry in partnership with Classera Smart Learning Company, partners in developing the Noor educational platform. The summit targets the future of education and the integration of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, and also encompasses tools related to developing the educational system and digital repositories.
“This national project, launched by the Ministry of Education, will be completed this year to cover all 1,303 schools in the Sultanate of Oman,” said Ali bin Salem al Adi, Director of the e-learning system and digital repository project, the Noor educational platform.
The events also showcased several digital transformation projects within the Ministry of Education, most notably the success story of the Noor project. This project has achieved significant milestones, including training over 92,000 participants from various beneficiaries through a number of specialised training courses, issuing over 58,000 certificates for various specialised courses, and enabling 1,303 schools to utilise the digital learning system, benefiting approximately 843,235 students and 65,820 teachers during the 2025/2026 academic year.
The summit culminated in the signing of strategic agreements with technology partners, the holding of enriching panel discussions on humanising artificial intelligence and green education, and the recognition of schools and initiatives that have achieved qualitative leaps in digital transformation.
