Oman Lens launches national CubeSat programme

Muscat: Oman Lens, a leading Omani company specialising in satellite technologies and artificial intelligence, announced the launch of a national programme to develop and assemble a CubeSat satellite during its participation in the Middle East Space Conference 2026.

Oman Lens launched its CubeSat project to support space imaging, environmental monitoring and sustainable development.

The programme aims to build national capabilities in satellite manufacturing through the development of an AI-enabled satellite, in cooperation with a number of academic institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, under the National Space Programme of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in line with Oman’s drive to localise space technologies and build a sustainable knowledge base.
