Muscat Nights receives 1.5-million visitors

Muscat: The Muscat Nights have received over 1.5 million visitors as per the latest counts. The event started on January 1.

The event also recorded 84 million visitors and 10.3 million reach on social media platforms.

Muscat Nights 2026 is a month-long festival running from January 1 to January 31, 2026, featuring cultural, entertainment, and sporting activities across eight main venues in Muscat, including Qurum Natural Park, Naseem Garden, and Al Amerat Park. The event showcases international circus acts, drone light shows, concerts, and heritage villages.

Muscat Municipality said it has intensified efforts to promote Muscat Nights 2026 in its new format through extensive media coverage, working with radio and television stations, local newspapers, and online platforms to highlight key events taking place across eight main locations.

The distribution of activities and events held in various locations such as parks, gardens, shopping centers, as well as tourist sites that combine culture, art, sports, competitions, and cultural and artistic evenings, contributed to enhancing the tourism, economic, and cultural movement in the governorate, to provide an opportunity to attract the largest number of visitors and residents to enjoy the winter atmosphere and the events.

The drone opera in Qurum Natural Park is a modern artistic work that relies on light formations of aircraft to convey a wonderful national story of the various states of the Sultanate of Oman, highlighting Omani diversity and the unity of the homeland. The work aims to highlight the connection of the Omani people to their land and the unity of the homeland with its wise leadership, in a new and innovative visual style presented for the first time at this level. It also provides an experience that embodies the spirit of belonging and reflects the beauty of Omani identity in a contemporary and attractive way for the public.

The Lake Operetta show, which combines lasers, lights, dancing fountains, and regular and water screens, also highlighted a unique visual experience by presenting a special content show for the national occasion, enabling everyone to experience the joy of the celebration in a different and enjoyable way
