MUSCAT, JAN 22
In an effort to allow less privileged children to experience Muscat Nights, the annual carnival of colours, heritage, traditions and global culinary delights, Muscat Municipality has expanded the celebrations to include children's wards in hospitals.
The initiative, called 'Visit Children's Wards in Hospitals', is part of their social responsibility and humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting sick children. It aims to provide these children with the joy of the month-long festival which began on January 1.

A spokesperson from Muscat Municipality stated, 'We at Muscat Nights implemented a field visit initiative to children's wards in various hospitals to bring joy and happiness to the children, boost their morale and enhance their psychological well-being during treatment. The result was immense, as we were able to bring smiles to many children undergoing treatment in hospitals.'
The visits included a trip to the Royal Hospital on January 19, where the team visited wards 2, 3 and 4, as well as the cardiology and oncology departments. They continued their visits on January 20 at SQU Hospital, distributing gifts and balloons to children, and concluded at Khoula Hospital on January 21.

During the event, cartoon characters from CandyLand created a fun and interactive atmosphere in the wards, bringing joy to the children and their families. These visits aimed to consolidate the values of giving and social solidarity, while also enhancing community presence through humanitarian initiatives that support sick children and create a positive hospital environment.
Muscat Nights 2026 has provided a wide range of activities for youth and children, attracting many visitors each day.
The Oman Automobile Association and Wadi Al Khoudh have hosted youth-oriented activities like drift car shows and adventure experiences to entertain and engage visitors.
With a variety of entertainment options and culinary delights, Muscat Nights 2026 offers a complete family experience. The festival has attracted large crowds to experience diverse themes in multiple urban settings.
'Muscat Nights hosts events regularly with expanded activities on weekends to ensure consistent attendance throughout the month. We recommend arriving early to find convenient parking and enjoy the festival with family members,' added the spokesperson.
