Dazzling circus extravaganza enthrals

MUSCAT: As part of Muscat Nights 2026, the Circus Show at the Omani Automobile Association continues to attract large crowds with a spectacular mix of international performances, modern technology, and family-friendly entertainment.
Organised by Muscat Municipality, the circus forms part of a wider entertainment programme that includes the Light Festival and drone shows, offering visitors a complete cultural and visual experience that reflects Muscat’s growing role as a regional tourism destination.
From the first moments, the circus atmosphere captures the attention of children and adults alike. The show opens with an adrenaline-filled motorcycle performance inside a giant metal globe, where riders move at high speed in perfect coordination. As more riders enter the globe, the challenge becomes more intense, drawing loud applause and excitement from the audience.

Comedy also plays an important role in the show, with two humorous performers interacting with the audience through playful challenges, music and exaggerated movements, creating a joyful and relaxed atmosphere inside the tent.
One of the most elegant moments of the evening is the aerial silk performance, where two female artists demonstrate flexibility and balance while moving smoothly in the air on red silk fabrics. Their synchronised movements reflect both strength and artistic harmony.
The show also features trampoline performances, combining fast jumps and rotations with comic timing, as well as a high-risk tightrope act. The performers walk confidently on the suspended wire, ride bicycles and even carry other performers, demonstrating exceptional focus, balance, and discipline.

Modern technology adds a special visual dimension to the circus through three-dimensional hologram effects, enhancing the audience’s sense of immersion in the performances. A dedicated children’s area also provides an educational and interactive experience for younger visitors.
Abdullah al Amri, one of the audience members, praised the event, saying: “The variety of performances made the evening exciting and enjoyable. The organisation was excellent, and the atmosphere truly reflects the high standard of Muscat Nights events.”
Meanwhile, media figure Mohammed al Arimi described the circus as a unique experience, saying: “Muscat Nights Circus is a complete entertainment experience that combines classical circus arts with modern performances. The visual effects supported by 3D hologram technology create continuous excitement. This is not an ordinary show, but a full world of amazement and joy waiting for everyone.”

The event brings together artists from different countries, presenting aerial acts, acrobatics, balance skills and visual storytelling in a format that appeals to all age groups.
The Circus Show at Muscat Nights continues daily until January 31, from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm, with ticket prices ranging from RO 7 to 20, making it accessible for families, tourists and residents.
