Refinery output in Oman up 11.4%

MUSCAT: Total refinery output in the Sultanate of Oman rose by 11.4 per cent by the end of November 2025, reaching about 76.992 billion barrels, up from 69.113 billion barrels recorded in the same period of 2024, according to data from the refineries and petroleum industries sector.
The data showed that production of 91-octane gasoline increased by 17.5 per cent to 15.64 billion barrels by the end of November 2025, while output of 95-octane gasoline climbed by 21.1 per cent to 13.182 billion barrels. Gas oil (diesel) production also grew by 11.7 per cent to 31.639 billion barrels.
Jet fuel production, however, declined by 9 per cent to 9.5 billion barrels, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) output rose by 14.5 per cent to reach 7.033 billion barrels over the same period.
In the petrochemicals segment, polypropylene production surged by 81.6 per cent to 327,000 tonnes, while paraxylene output increased by 10.8 per cent to 535,000 tonnes. Gasoline production recorded a marginal rise of 0.9 per cent.
Domestic sales data showed gas oil sales rising by 7.1 per cent to 13.875 billion barrels, while sales of 95-octane gasoline grew by 2.1 per cent and 91-octane gasoline by 1 per cent. Jet fuel sales, however, fell by 3.5 per cent during the same period.
On the export front, exports of 95-octane gasoline surged by 166.4 per cent to 1.526 billion barrels. LPG exports rose by 127.9 per cent, while exports of 91-octane gasoline declined by 15.8 per cent by the end of November 2025. — ONA
