Al Seeb extend lead as Jindal League heats up

Muscat: Al Seeb continued their dominance at the top of the Jindal League standings for the 2025–2026 season after securing a valuable 2–0 away victory over Dhofar, in the match played at Al Saada Sports Complex as part of round 10.
Al Seeb imposed their control on the match from the outset, creating several chances in the first half but failing to convert due to poor finishing and the outstanding performance of Dhofar goalkeeper Mazin al Kasbi. In the second half, Arshad al Alawi broke the deadlock in the 75th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box, before substitute Salah al Yahyaei sealed the win with a second goal in stoppage time, despite Al Seeb missing a penalty in the 84th minute. With this victory, Al Seeb raised their tally to 28 points at the top of the table, while Dhofar dropped to 11th place with 9 points.
Al Khabourah Outclass Sohar with a Clean 3–0 Win
Al Khabourah returned with all three points after a deserved 3–0 victory over neighbours Saham at Sohar Sports Complex. Darwish al Saadi opened the scoring in the 28th minute, before foreign professional John Paul Rashford doubled the lead with a clever long-range effort just before halftime. In the second half, Khalifa al Mazrouei completed the scoring with a well-taken header in stoppage time. The result lifted Al Khabourah to 10th place with 10 points, while Saham remained eighth with 13 points.
Al Nasr Hand Al Nahda Their First Defeat
In Al Buraimi, Al Nasr handed hosts Al Nahda their first defeat of the season with a hard-fought 1–0 victory, decided by striker Beni Dio in the 63rd minute. Al Nasr goalkeeper Ibrahim al Rajhi was the standout performer, saving a first-half penalty and producing crucial stops late in the match to preserve the win. Al Nasr climbed to fifth place with 19 points, while Al Nahda stayed second on 22 points, six behind the leaders.
Al Shabab Edge Past Al Rustaq
Al Shabab claimed an important 2–1 away win over Al Rustaq at Al Rustaq Sports Complex. Musab al Maamari and Bashar al Balushi scored for Al Shabab, while Cristian netted the lone goal for Al Rustaq. Despite late pressure from the hosts, Al Shabab’s defensive organisation held firm, lifting them to third place with 21 points, as Al Rustaq remained bottom with just one point.
Oman Club Snatch Late Draw Against Samayil
In Nizwa, Oman Club earned a valuable point after holding Samayil to a 1–1 draw. Samayil had taken the lead through Moayyed al Hashmi in first-half stoppage time, but Oman captain Mahmoud al Hassani struck a dramatic equaliser in the 90+3 minute. Oman moved up to seventh place with 14 points, while Samaiyl sit ninth with 11 points.
Ibri Turn the Tables on Sur
The round concluded with a crucial 2–1 win for Ibri away to Sur. Sur opened the scoring through Axel May, but Ibri responded quickly with an equaliser from a penalty converted by Abdulrahman al Yaqoubi, before Ali al Balushi grabbed the winner in the 81st minute. Ibri moved up to 12th place with 7 points, while Sur slipped to 13th, second from bottom, with 4 points, as the battle at the foot of the table intensified.
