Dust mass expected to impact northern governorates

The satellite images of Oman Met Office have been indicating the movement of a dust mass from the Islamic Republic of Iran toward the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, with the possibility of northern governorates being affected in the coming period. Iran has been experiencing a dust storm.
Meanwhile, the northwesterly wind has been strong and there is an alert for South Al Batinah Governorate, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, North Al Batinah Governorate, Muscat Governorate, and Musandam Governorate. The wind has also had an impact on the sea waves. Muttrah Seafront, Corniche saw rough and high sea waves.
The National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards warned that a decrease in horizontal visibility ranging from 500 to 1,000 meters can be expected. The concentration of dust particles poses health risks to sensitive groups.
According to the Oman Met Office, the main and secondary roads will be affected, and traffic may be disrupted.
The general weather forecast stated that the weather is fair in most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, with clouds flowing over parts of Al Buraimi and North Al Batinah Governorates as well as parts of the Sea of Oman coasts.
