Al Buraimi Municipal Council reviews development projects

AL BURAIMI: The Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate held its tenth meeting of 2025, chaired by Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi.
The session focused on the latest progress of development and service projects currently being implemented across the governorate’s wilayats, alongside discussions on strategic plans to enhance public services.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the road maintenance plan for the period 2026-2030. The Council reviewed the status of damaged roads and the technical treatments being applied to ensure structural integrity and improve traffic safety. Members also celebrated the progress of the 'Al Buraimi Oasis' project in the city centre, noting that its completion rate has exceeded 99 per cent, with an official opening scheduled for the coming days.
Regarding environmental infrastructure, the Council followed up on the ongoing consultancy study for rainwater drainage in the governorate. The study, which has surpassed 60 per cent completion, includes engineering solutions and technical designs aimed at improving the efficiency of drainage networks and mitigating water accumulation in various flood-prone areas. - ONA
