Muscat: Active northwesterly winds are expected to affect most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman starting from tomorrow morning until Thursday, according to the Oman Meteorology Office.
The Met Office said the weather condition will result in rising sea waves along the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman, with wave heights reaching up to three metres.
It also warned of increased chances of dust and sand being raised over desert and open areas, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility.
The weather bulletin noted that the weather system will be accompanied by a drop in temperatures.
The Met Office urged the public, especially sea-goers and road users, to exercise caution and follow official weather updates.
