Shotokan Holds First Aid Course in Al Amerat

Shotokan Karate Center organised a specialised First Aid training course on Saturday, at the Center’s main hall in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, as part of its continuous efforts to enhance coaches’ skills and promote safety standards in sports halls and tournaments.
The course was delivered by Paramedic Jazab Hussein, Head of First Aid Trainers at Al Sarooj Institute for Security and Safety, who presented a comprehensive program combining theoretical and practical components. The course targeted male and female coaches of Shotokan Karate Center.
The training addressed common sports injuries in gyms and tournaments, in addition to practical instruction on how to properly manage emergency cases such as fainting, fractures, bleeding, and choking, highlighting correct first aid procedures and common mistakes to avoid.

The organisers emphasised that this initiative reflects the Shotokan Karate Center’s commitment to providing a safe training environment and raising health awareness among coaches, ensuring rapid and effective responses to emergencies and safeguarding athletes during training sessions and competitions.
At the conclusion of the course, Paramedic Jazab Hussein distributed certificates of participation to the coaches who took part in the programme. In recognition of his valuable efforts and the precise and enriching information he provided on proper first aid practices, Sensei Yousuf bin Muslim al Siyabi and Sensei Hilal bin Mohammed al Abdali presented him with a commemorative medal.
