SUR: The 'Tasaeud' (Rising) programme was launched on Sunday in the Wilayat of Sur, Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, with the aim of supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and enabling them to transition into more advanced stages of growth and sustainability.
The programme involves 35 entrepreneurs who own small and medium enterprises and is organised by OQ Gas Networks (OQGN) in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Al Sharqiyah South. This initiative is designed to enhance integration between the public and private sectors while linking SMEs to available opportunities that support their expansion and long-term viability.
The 'Tasaeud' programme provides a comprehensive practical platform focused on improving the performance of participating institutions and enhancing their readiness for expansion. This is achieved through specialised development tracks that include strategy, financial management, value building, governance and decision-making, all under the supervision of a group of experts and specialists.
What distinguishes the programme is its applied methodology, which stems from the specific reality of each individual enterprise. Rather than offering theoretical solutions or general models, the programme works side-by-side with business owners to design realistic, implementable growth paths based on actual market needs.
Eng Faisal bin Ali al Maamari, Chief Human Resources, Technology and Culture Officer at OQ Gas Networks, stated that the 'Tasaeud' programme provides practical tools and realistic development opportunities that help entrepreneurs achieve growth, enhance their competitiveness and build long-term partnerships.
He added that the programme confirms OQ Gas Networks' commitment to enabling SMEs to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness, aligning with the objectives of economic development and Oman Vision 2040. — ONA
