Health Forum in Dhofar reviews progress in healthcare services

SALALAH: The second Health Forum, organised by the Directorate-General of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate, was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, with the participation of health professionals from across the sector.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, in the presence of senior officials and dignitaries.
In his keynote address, Dr Hani bin Ahmed al Qadi, Director-General of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate, emphasised the importance of fostering a culture of excellence and strengthening institutional performance. He underlined the need to continuously upgrade the healthcare system to meet current demands and enhance the quality of services provided to the community.
The forum featured two visual presentations titled 'From Beginning to End' and 'Health in Dhofar', highlighting the evolution of healthcare services in the governorate and the key milestones that have contributed to improved efficiency and service quality.
A lecture titled ‘Modern Leadership: Vision and Inspiration’ was delivered by Hussein bin Mohammed al Lawati, Member of the Majlis Ash’shura representing the Wilayat of Muttrah. The session focused on contemporary leadership concepts and their role in motivating teams and fostering positive change in the workplace.
At the conclusion of the forum, the Minister of Health honoured healthcare teams, impact-makers, families of distinguished contributors, outstanding personnel from the Directorate, and those involved in organising the event.
The forum aimed to promote excellence and innovation in the health sector, highlight ongoing development efforts, and encourage institutional work and creative thinking among healthcare professionals. - ONA
