Mirbat face Al Musannah today in Second Division Handball League

The Second Division Handball League for the 2025-2026 season continues on Wednesday, with a single match bringing together Mirbat Club and Al Musannah Club at the main indoor hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
The encounter is of great importance to both sides. Mirbat will be aiming to return to winning ways and strengthen their chances of qualifying for the second round after suffering a recent defeat against Al Amerat, which left them second in the standings with four points. A victory would see a significant step forward in their campaign.
On the other hand, Al Musannah enter the match seeking to bounce back from their opening defeat to Al Amerat by 37–18, as the technical staff looks to correct the team’s course and secure a positive result that would revive their ambitions in the competition.
In the previous round, Al Amerat recorded a convincing 40–26 victory over Mirbat at the same venue, extending their lead at the top of the table with six points, Al Amerat dominated the match from the outset, finishing the first half ahead 26–11, before maintaining control in the second half through a mix of experienced players and promising young talent.
The Second Division League action will resume on Friday, with two matches scheduled. Al Amerat will face Al Suwaiq at the indoor hall of Al Rustaq Sports Complex, while Masirah will take on Al Musannah at the same time at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
