Unicef Oman holds dialogue sessions for students

IBRA: Acting in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Al Sharqiyah North, Children First Association and the Ministry of Education, the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) organised dialogue sessions for children as part of the programme of World Children’s Day which takes the theme 'My Day, My Rights' this year.
Held under the auspices of Mahmoud bin Yahya al Thuhli, Governor of Al Sharqiyah North, the event was attended by HH Sayyidah Dr Mona bint Fahd al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at SQU, and Sumaira Chowdhury, Unicef Representative in the Sultanate of Oman.
The dialogue sessions targeted students from public and private schools, special education schools and social integration schools.
The dialogue sessions focused on listening to the opinions of the students, answering their queries and outlining children's rights related to education, health, the environment and climate change.
The dialogue sessions also elaborated on how students could contribute to promoting children’s rights and education in their social environments. - ONA
