Dhofar, Al Nahda, Samayil and Al Nasr shine in Round 7 of Jindal League

DHOFAR DEFEAT SUR IN STOPPAGE-TIME
Dhofar’s first football team pulled off a dramatic 3–2 victory over their guests Sur in a thrilling encounter at Al Saada Sports Complex Stadium, as part of Round 7 of the Jindal Football League for the 2025–2026 season.
Dhofar took an early lead in the second minute through Mohammed Al Habsi, but Sur responded quickly as Sami Al Hasani equalised in the sixth minute. Sur then turned the match around in the 25th minute when professional forward Kingsley headed home to give his side a 2–1 lead at halftime.
Dhofar came out stronger in the second half and pressed for an equaliser, which arrived in the 73rd minute through Hamoud Al Saadi. Sur’s task became more difficult after substitute Hamid Al Wahaibi was sent off in the 77th minute, and Dhofar capitalised on the numerical advantage when Ammar Abed scored the winning goal in stoppage time. The win lifted Dhofar to 8 points in tenth place, while Sur remained on 4 points in twelfth.
AL NAHDA EDGE AL RUSTAQ AND MAINTAIN TOP SPOT
Al Nahda claimed a crucial 1–0 victory over Al Rustaq in the match played at the Al Buraimi Sports Complex, further strengthening their position at the top of the table.
After a goalless first half, in which Al Rustaq created more chances while Al Nahda threatened on the counter and hit the crossbar through Perry Mari, Al Nahda took control in the second period. The decisive moment came in the 84th minute when substitute Abdulrahman Al Ghassani scored from close range after rounding the goalkeeper.
Al Nahda held on to claim three points and move to 16 points at the summit, while Al Rustaq remained bottom without a point.
SAMAYIL OVERPOWER AL SHABAB
Samayil returned with all three points after defeating hosts Al Shabab 3–1 in the match held at Al Seeb Sports Stadium.
Al Shabab asserted early dominance and applied sustained pressure on goalkeeper Alaa al Hamadani, but Samayil ’s organised defence prevented an early breakthrough. As the match progressed, Samayil regained balance and took the lead in the 42nd minute through Badr Al Jabri. Al Shabab responded quickly, with Yousuf Al Malki scoring the equaliser in the 45th minute, ending the first half level.
In the second half, Samayil maintained their structured performance, and tactical substitutions paid off as Khalid al Buraiki scored the second goal in the 77th minute. With Al Shabab pushing forward in search of an equaliser, Samayil exploited a counterattack deep into stoppage time, with substitute Osama al Zaabi netting the third goal in the 94th minute.
Following this win, Samayil raised their tally to 9 points in ninth place, while Al Shabab remained on 9 points in eighth, noting that Al Shabab have played only five matches so far.
AL NASR SNATCH A HARD-FOUGHT WIN OVER AL KHABOURAH
Al Nasr earned a valuable 1–0 victory over Al Khabourah at Al Rustaq Sports Complex.
The first half was cautious and largely confined to midfield, ending goalless after Mulhim al Sunaidy missed a late chance. The tempo improved after the break, with Al Khabourah wasting several opportunities before Al Nasr struck on the counter in the 83rd minute through Zakaria al Qartoubi.
Al Nasr held firm under late pressure to move up to 13 points in third place, while Al Khabourah slipped to 11th with seven points.
