Omani products draw huge interest at Bahrain’s Mara’i Exhibition

MANAMA: The Small and Medium Enterprises Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has concluded its participation in the Bahrain International Exhibition for Agricultural and Livestock Production (Mara’i) with an agreement to expand Omani participation in future editions of the exhibition, both in terms of institutions and the diversity of sectors represented.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Amer al Muslihi, Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee at OCCI, confirmed that Omani products attracted strong interest from consumers and residents in Bahrain during the exhibition.
In a statement to ONA, Al Muslihi said the committee’s participation in Gulf exhibitions aims to showcase the diversity and high quality of Omani products, particularly Omani dates, which have achieved advanced standards in production and packaging. He noted that this reflects the chamber’s vision of promoting entrepreneurship and strengthening external economic relations.
He also stressed the importance of deepening economic partnerships and enhancing communication between the chambers of commerce in Oman and Bahrain, in a manner that serves the small and medium enterprises sector and reinforces its role in supporting regional economic development.
The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by its Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, participated in the Mara’i exhibition with 22 institutions representing the date sector, date-based industries, and a range of other food products. — ONA
