SUHAR: In a press briefing at Suhar Bazaar Centre, organisers of the fourth Suhar Festival unveiled the full programme for the 2025–2026 edition, running from December 22 to January 31, 2026.
The announcement was made in the presence of Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of Al Batinah North and Chairman of the Festival’s Main Committee, alongside officials, partners and media representatives.
Al Kindi emphasised that the festival has become a seasonal highlight for the governorate, evolving to reflect Suhar’s cultural, economic and social aspirations, with timing aligned to school holidays to encourage family and youth participation.
Eng Nasser al Maamari, Head of Events, explained that this edition connects tourism, entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, social well-being and modern innovation, offering an interactive platform for visitors to engage with Suhar’s identity.
Flagship attractions include the AI-powered 'Omniya Museum', daily carnival shows, an international photography competition, a traditional Omani village, karting, kite-flying, theatre programmes for families and the Suhar Rally.
This year introduces a strong environmental focus, promoting eco-awareness and sustainable habits, while also providing employment opportunities for about 200 job-seekers and dedicated spaces for home-based businesses.
Organisers confirmed strict safety checks for all attractions and set entry tickets at 500 baisas, with optional paid experiences. Strong private-sector participation highlights the festival’s growing economic impact and its role in celebrating Suhar’s culture, innovation and community spirit.
