SUHAR: The Al Batinah North Governor’s Office has introduced a new interactive electronic dashboard, giving residents timely and comprehensive access to information on development projects across the governorate’s wilayats.
Launched through the official website, the initiative underscores the growing commitment to open data and improved communication between local authorities and the community.
The dashboard offers a monthly interactive summary of ongoing projects across multiple sectors, enabling users to explore detailed information with ease. Residents can view the total number of projects, their costs, progress percentages, and the implementing entities.
Each project is colour-coded—green for on-schedule, yellow for delayed, and red for significantly behind schedule—allowing for quick and clear status identification.
Officials noted that the platform aims to empower citizens by providing transparent and accessible data, ensuring the community remains well-informed about development progress.
The tool also strengthens accountability by offering real-time indicators that help residents and decision-makers monitor performance and identify areas needing attention.
Featuring visual charts, interactive filters, and detailed breakdowns by sector and wilayat, the dashboard provides a holistic view of the governorate’s development landscape.
Ali al Saeedi, a resident of Al Khabourah, praised the initiative: “Now we can easily observe progress — from infrastructure and municipal services to community facilities. The system displays information in a user-friendly format that supports transparent governance, which means a lot to us as citizens.”
Citizens have welcomed the move, emphasising the importance of such tools in building trust and encouraging active community involvement.
The Al Batinah North Municipality highlighted that the initiative aligns with Oman’s broader digital transformation efforts and Vision 2040 objectives, which prioritise efficiency, innovation, and open government practices.
By establishing a clear and transparent mechanism for sharing information, the Al Batinah North Governorate continues to champion inclusive local governance. Residents can track the progress of development projects by visiting the governorate’s website, where the full interactive summary is available.
This digital advancement marks a key step toward strengthening public confidence and ensuring that the governorate’s development journey remains visible, measurable, and aligned with community expectations.
