RAFO winds up scientific innovation competition

MUSCAT: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) on Tuesday held a ceremony to mark the conclusion of its '2025 Scientific Innovation Competition'. The ceremony was held at Al Seeb Air Base under the auspices of Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
The competition's organising committee delivered a speech in which it highlighted the importance of the contest for RAFO personnel, noting that a key objective of the contest was to inculcate a culture of innovation and creativity. The speech laid emphasis on efforts made to advance innovation, encourage research and harness the innovative potential of RAFO personnel. The ceremony included a video presentation featuring the stages of the competition.
During the ceremony, the RAFO Commander inaugurated the website of RAFO “Air Innovation Centre”, which serves as an added feature to the network of the Ministry of Defence.
Then, the RAFO Commander and the attendees toured an exhibition held on the sidelines of the event. They took note of the innovations that won top prizes in the “2025 Scientific Innovation Competition”. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the RAFO Commander felicitated the winners, the competition's organisers and the jury.
