Thank you readers for trusting our news

Oman Observer turns 45 today. Started on November 15, 1981, the prime aim of the national daily was to disseminate information on the development process kick-started in the Sultanate of Oman as a result of the Blessed Renaissance.
Newspapers still are the single most authoritative and responsible form of media.
If we put social media aside for the time being, we have radio, television and newspapers as the legitimate purveyors of news to the masses and yet among this trio, newspapers like the Oman Observer stand apart in their standards of journalism, honed over five centuries, as day after day, their reputations, are embellished by the level of integrity and sustainability they demonstrate.

When we look at over four decades, we remain committed to truth and keeping readers abreast with the news of the day online and offline.
The only English-language newspaper to be published on all days of the week, the Observer has become bolder and more inquisitive. People trust it as the gold standard of news even amidst the onslaught on misinformation and disinformation.
Oman Observer has established itself as a significant and credible reference of local and international news and stories thanks to a network of editors, reporters and technicians working around the clock to deliver a message from Oman to the whole world.
We chose this occasion to reiterate principles of objectivity, accuracy, full neutrality and freedom of opinion and expression, in accordance with the country’s foundational laws and with a strong emphasis on the values of citizenship and national pride.
On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Oman Observer, we would like to extend our thanks to our esteemed readers for standing by us and for their continued feedback and support, without which we could not have achieved this milestone.
We promise you to complete our march together with our readers to deliver news impartially and honestly.
