The 3rd International Dates and Honey Exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources from October 23 to 29 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, has generated significant investment interest from both local and international stakeholders, according to ministry sources.
Held under the auspices of Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, the week-long event attracted senior officials, farmers and entrepreneurs from around the world.
Bringing together producers, exporters and investors, the exhibition showcased premium varieties of Omani and international dates and honey, drawing thousands of visitors who explored potential collaborations in farming, processing and trade.
A ministry official told the Observer that the exhibition has evolved into an important annual platform to highlight Oman’s growing reputation in producing high-quality dates and honey. “We are pleased that the event has provided a unique opportunity for businesses to share expertise, explore partnerships, and strengthen Oman’s presence in global markets in the field of date cultivation and trade,” the official said.
The 2025 edition brought together 13 countries, 250 enterprises and 50 international companies, alongside small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs from across the Sultanate of Oman.
According to the ministry, the exhibition has also spurred greater interest among local and international traders, boosting cooperation between producers and exporters while opening up new avenues for innovation in processing, packaging, and marketing of date and honey products.
“The International Dates and Honey Expo has succeeded in reinforcing Oman’s commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of its agricultural products and positioning Oman as a regional hub for premium date and honey production,” the official added.
