Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara has announced the return of the Al Baleed Culinary Festival 2025, a month-long celebration of gastronomy running throughout November. Building on the success of its previous editions, this year’s festival introduces an exciting new format pairing the resort’s in-house culinary masters with internationally acclaimed chefs from three-Michelin-starred restaurants.
Supported by Experience Oman, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Dhofar Municipality and Amouage, the festival blends world-class expertise with authentic Omani flavours, reaffirming Salalah’s place on the global gourmet map.
Festival highlights include the Frankincense Experience — a journey through the resort’s farm, spa and Al Mina restaurant — featuring a guided farm tour, frankincense-inspired spa ritual and a harvest lunch crafted from the day’s fresh produce.
Two of Europe’s celebrated Michelin-starred chefs headline the event: Jacob Jan Boerma from the Netherlands (Symphony of Taste, November 12) and Christian Jürgens from Germany (Pursuit of Excellence, November 15). Both will present exclusive four-course menus at Mekong, paired with live entertainment.
The resort’s culinary talents also shine, with themed nights such as Taste of Mekong, Flavours of the Spice Route, Taste of the Arabian Ocean and Omani Nights, each offering immersive dining experiences led by chefs Raveevan Kahawan, Sufian Akhtar, Andrea Carrone and Ammar al Harthy. Head Pastry Chef Khin Hnin Aung will craft desserts that complete each evening with elegance.
Adding international flair, Executive Chef Marco Van Rutten from Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam joins the festival, highlighting cross-collaboration within the Anantara brand.
The festival’s grand finale, the Al Baleed Kitchen Party on November 14, will unite all guest and resident chefs at Al Mina for an interactive evening of live stations, performances and culinary creativity.
Dining experiences range from RO 20 for themed nights to RO 69 for the Frankincense Experience, while Michelin-starred evenings are priced at RO 55 per person.
The Al Baleed Culinary Festival 2025 promises an unforgettable month of culinary artistry — a feast where every dish tells a story and every experience celebrates the essence of Oman.
