Muscat: The Oman-Uzbekistan Business Women Forum in Tashkent organised a meeting recently that combined inspiration, positive energy and real opportunities for female entrepreneurs from both countries.
Dr Siham al Harthy, Chairperson of OCCI's Tourism Committee and CEO of Siham Development and Investment, stated that the meeting was not just an event but a platform for forging partnerships and building bridges between markets.
The meeting resulted in the signing of agreements and partnerships in the fields of trade, tourism, service, education, technology and entrepreneurship. It also included cognitive exchange and training programmes that empowered startups and opened new horizons for growth and innovation.
Dr Siham noted, 'It's the beginning of a path of sustainable cooperation that reflects the power of Omani and Uzbek women in driving economic change and strengthening relations between the two countries. It is proof that ambition, when combined with hard work, makes a real impact.'
She added, 'This engagement reflects our shared belief that when women connect, they don't just share ideas - they build bridges of growth, innovation and empowerment.'
Oman's real estate sector is extremely important, and for Dr Siham al Harthy, it is a market to be explored. 'Work in real estate development is something I really enjoy because we can help people change their lifestyle by creating a living environment,' she said, acknowledging that the real estate development field can be challenging.
Dr Siham reflected, 'If you are passionate and enjoy what you are doing, and if you have a dream, everything will become easy. I entered real estate because I love this industry. I dream of making people live happily where there are facilities for kids to easily go to school and for families to gather without the hassle of traffic.'
She expressed her desire to design spaces where residents can work out for fitness and have everything close by. She emphasised the importance of focusing on one's strengths and improving weaknesses as much as possible.
