Oman's legal entity ties up with Indian firm

Ahmed al Muqbali Advocates & Legal Consultants, an Omani law firm, has entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding for a strategic partnership with MTS Legal from Kochi for cross-border legal excellence, a first-of-its-kind understanding which will help the clients in both the Sultanate of Oman and India avail legal services beyond borders.
With the new collaborative operations, the firms aim to set a new benchmark in international legal services, bridging geographical boundaries and delivering smarter, faster, and more reliable solutions for clients in Oman, India and beyond.
“Today’s MoU is not just a cooperation agreement; it represents the beginning of a strategic partnership that redefines cross-border legal services. Our goal is to build a strong bridge of trust and knowledge between Oman and India, providing comprehensive legal support and cultural understanding to help investors succeed,” said Lawyer Ahmed al Maqbali, Founder and Managing Partner.
Speaking to the Observer, Attorney Sharan Shaheer, Partner at MTS Legal, said that partnering with Ahmed al Maqbali Law Firm would enhance the firm’s scope and expertise.
“By combining their deep understanding of Oman’s legal and economic system with our network and experience in India, we can offer unique legal solutions to the large Indian community in Oman and to Omani companies investing in India.”
Adv Fathima Biju has been appointed as the first Indian lawyer at Ahmed Al Muqbali Advocates. Daughter of Adi Raja Biju and Seeniya Biju, two of Oman’s noted figures in the diaspora, she is a graduate from Ramaiah College of Law, Bangalore and she is enrolled in the High Court of Kochi.
