AMMAN: The Omani Cultural Days kicked off on Sunday in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The event is organised by the Omani Studies Unit at Al Al Bayt University, Jordan, in cooperation with the Ifta Office at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sultanate of Oman.
The programme focuses on the Omani role in architecture and its jurisprudence. It is carried out in a number of Jordanian universities, with the participation of academics and researchers from Oman and Jordan.
An exhibition titled 'Oman: The Identity and the Civilisation' will be held on the sidelines of the 'Cultural Days' programme.
The exhibition comprises four galleries focusing on 'Rights in Omani society', 'Omani values in urban jurisprudence', 'Ethics advocated by Omani merchants who spread Islam' and 'Talents and innovations of Omanis in the field of human sciences'.
The exhibition seeks to open up vistas for showcasing Oman's timeless civilisation and preserving its legacies that stem from the Islamic faith.
