MUSCAT: Al Seeb earned a valuable 2–0 victory over Al Nasr in a match held at the Al Saadah Sports Complex in Salalah, as part of Round 4 of the 2025/2026 Jindal Football League.
The game began at a fast pace, with Al Nasr creating the first real chance through Beninese striker Abdelfadil Sounon, whose powerful shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Ahmed al Rawahi before he was later substituted due to injury. Al Seeb responded with a strong attempt from Abdullah Fawaz, which was stopped by Al Nasr’s goalkeeper Ibrahim al Rajhi.
In the 18th minute, Al Seeb broke the deadlock after an organised attack led by Zaher al Aghbari, who sent in a precise cross that was headed home by Nasser al Rawahi, taking advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper. Al Nasr pushed forward through Hussein and Awad al Shahri, but Al Seeb’s substitute goalkeeper made key saves to deny them. In the 45th minute, Al Nasr’s Mohammed al Seam was shown a red card after a clash with Abdullah Fawaz, forcing his team to play the second half with ten men.
Al Seeb capitalised on the numerical advantage, dominating the midfield and adding a second goal in the 58th minute again through a header from Nasser al Rawahi following a cross from the left. Despite Al Nasr’s late efforts to reduce the deficit, the match ended in a well-deserved win for Al Seeb, who climbed to third place with 10 points, while Al Nasr remained sixth with 7 points. After the game, Al Nasr’s Club released a statement protesting what they described as “unfair refereeing decisions,” adding that the club may consider freezing the activities of its first football team in response to the repeated officiating errors.

DHOFAR EARN 1ST WIN OF THE SEASON AWAY
Dhofar secured its first win of the season with a 3–1 victory over Bahla at the Nizwa Sports Complex.
The match was lively from the start, with Dhofar taking the lead in the 30th minute through a penalty converted by Moataz Saleh after a clear foul inside the box. Yemeni striker Omar al Dahi doubled the lead in the 43rd minute with a well-placed shot following a smooth attacking move. Bahla pulled one back through Abdulsalam al Shukaili in stoppage time (45+3) with a fine header, ending the first half 2–1 in Dhofar’s favour.
In the second half, Bahla pushed hard for an equaliser and protested a penalty claim that was waved off by the referee. Dhofar took advantage of Bahla’s frustration, and Sultan Badr al Marzouqi sealed the win with a well-placed header in the 63rd minute.
With this victory, Dhofar moved up to eighth place with 4 points, while Bahla remained on 9 points, slipping to third on goal difference behind Al Shabab and Oman. Following the match, Bahla’s board announced the dismissal of Tunisian coach Abdelhalim al Werimi after a series of poor results.
AL SHABAB SNATCH LATE WIN OVER SOHAR
Al Shabab claimed a crucial 2–1 victory over Sohar at the Sohar Sports Complex. Sohar took an early lead through Keita in the 10th minute, but Al Shabab equalised in first-half stoppage time via their professional striker Maliko Kenyan, who also scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the second half.
Despite Sohar’s protests over refereeing decisions, Al Shabab held on to secure the three points, moving up to fourth place with 9 points, while Sohar dropped to seventh with 6 points.
