Oman has a rich maritime tradition and each year, young sailors from around the world have the opportunity to join talented Omani youth in writing a new chapter in our sailing history. Since it began, Musannah Race Week has showcased the beauty of our nation and our capability to host major events alongside the talent within our nation, and we expect this year to be another incredible exhibition of our sailing tradition with another chance for our emerging sailors to show their talents on the water.”

Shaima al Asmi, Oman Sail’s Operations Executive and Musannah Race Week Project Manager, added, “Musannah Race Week is a highlight of Oman’s sailing calendar, and with so many sailors joining us this year – as well as a strong team representing Oman – we are excited for a great week of sailing, friendship, learning and cultural exchange.
The two Para Inclusive Sailing events are another step forward for the event as we show that sailing is a sport for all, and everyone is welcome. This week promises to be truly memorable, and we look forward to hosting the 14th edition of this festival of youth sailing.”
During this week of camaraderie and development, Oman Sail and the Barcelo Musannah Resort will host a BBQ night for all sailors, staff and families to offer a unique opportunity to experience authentic Omani hospitality and get to know each other away from the water.
