Expat arrested for filming road accident victims

Muscat: The Police in the Governorate of Al Wusta arrested an individual of Asian nationality for recording a video showing the bodies of persons who lost their lives in a traffic collision between two vehicles in the Wilayat of Duqm.
Legal procedures are being completed.
It is strictly prohibited by ROP to film and share accident videos, which can lead to fines and imprisonment, and other penalties.
It is prohibited to film and publish footage of individuals without their consent.
