BAHLA: The office of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Wilayat of Bahla, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, on Monday organised the fourth edition of the 'Al Bait Al Aamen' (The Safe Home) event, titled 'The Impact of Media on the Value System.'
The event addressed several key themes related to the relationship between media and religious and social values, the role of educational and legal institutions in protecting the family and community from the negative influences of digital content, in addition to reviewing experiences and initiatives that enhance media responsibility in public discourse.
The event featured the participation of a number of academics, researchers, and specialists in the fields of thought, media and law, along with representatives from relevant government and community entities. The aim was to enrich the discussion on mechanisms for confronting the value challenges posed by modern media.
The 'Al Bait Al Aamen' event is one of the awareness initiatives adopted by the Bahla Office of Awqaf and Religious Affairs as part of its programmes aimed at strengthening family values, instilling concepts of conscious citizenship, and building a cohesive society based on established ethical and religious principles.
It is noteworthy that this year's event marks its fourth edition, following three previous editions that tackled key intellectual and social issues relevant to the reality of the community and family.
The event was held under the auspices of Dr Mohammed bin Said al Hajri, member of the State Council. — ONA
