Al Bashayer, Seeb dominate round 2 of volleyball 1st division

MUSCAT: The Nizwa Sports Complex hosted on Friday evening, October 3, 2025, the second-round fixtures of Group 2 in the First Division Volleyball League (2025–2026 season). The round featured two thrilling matches, in which Al Bashayer and Al Seeb confirmed their strong presence by securing full points for the second time in a row.
In the first match, Al Bashayer entered with intensity from the very first set, winning it 25–19 after capitalising on Taqah’s errors in reception and passing. In the second set, Al Bashayer raised its level significantly, imposing absolute control and finishing with a wide margin of 25–13, thanks to powerful spikes and an effective blocking wall. The third set followed a similar script, with Al Bashayer maintaining superiority on all fronts to close it again at 25–13, sealing a clear victory that underlined their readiness to compete for the group lead.
Al SEEB EDGE SALALAH 3–0
The second match brought together Al Seeb and Salalah, beginning with a tightly contested first set that ended 25–21 in Al Seeb’s favor, with the players’ experience proving decisive in the closing points. In the second set, Al Seeb dominated early, aided by strong serves and varied attacks, cruising to a 25–12 win. Salalah attempted a comeback in the third set, but Al Seeb’s defensive organisation stood firm, allowing the yellow team to take the set 25–14 and the match in straight sets.
At the conclusion of the second round, Al Bashayer and Al Seeb sit atop the Group 2 standings with 6 points each from two matches, both maintaining clean records without losing a set. Meanwhile, Taqah and Salalah occupy third and fourth place, respectively, still without points after suffering defeats in both of their opening matches.
This round confirmed the superiority of Al Bashayer and Al Seeb, who are moving steadily toward the final stages, while Taqah and Salalah face a tough challenge in the coming rounds to salvage their seasons.
