Session raises awareness of smoking risks

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education organised a national dialogue session in Muscat to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking.
This session was part of the ministry's participation in the Higher Education, Training and Rehabilitation Exhibition, 'EduTrac Oman', and was held under the auspices of Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The dialogue session featured specialists from the Ministry of Health, the Royal Oman Police (Directorate-General for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances), and the Consumer Protection Authority.
The programme also included the launch of the logo for the awareness programme on the risks of smoking and 'e-cigarettes', and the screening of a video clip illustrating the harms of smoking and its negative effects on the individual and society. - ONA
