Oman, Qatar review relations

DOHA: Shaikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.
This came during his meeting with Hamad bin Ahmed al Muhannadi, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers of the State of Qatar.
Shaikh Al Fadhl also met with Ibrahim bin Ali al Muhannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in Qatar.
The meeting explored prospects for developing existing cooperation in a manner that serves common interests.
Furthermore, Shaikh Al Fadhl toured the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. During the tour, he was briefed on the workflow in the Council Affairs and Legislative Affairs sectors and was introduced to the communication and media mechanisms, as well as the role of the Government Communication Office in coordinating media discourse and enhancing institutional communication between government entities.
He was also presented with an overview of the mechanisms for governing government work in the State of Qatar and the role played by the government platform 'Sharik' in promoting community participation and developing services provided to beneficiaries.
The meetings were attended by Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah al Busaidy, Ambassador of Oman to Qatar, and officials from both sides. - ONA
