CAA Oman takes part in ICAO expo

MONTREAL: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), is participating in the exhibition held alongside the 42nd General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), currently taking place at the organisation’s headquarters in Montreal, Canada. The event will continue until October 3.
Oman’s participation in the exhibition includes representatives from the Royal Oman Police (General Directorate of Airport Security), the Civil Aviation Authority, Oman Airports, Oman Air and SalamAir. The goal is to showcase the development of the civil aviation sector in the Sultanate of Oman and highlight achievements in aviation safety and security, environmental sustainability, as well as to present key national projects and initiatives contributing to the sector’s development in line with international standards.
This participation aims to strengthen Oman’s presence on the international stage and reinforce its position as an active contributor to the development of global civil aviation policies. It also demonstrates Oman’s commitment to implementing relevant international standards and agreements by presenting its national strategies and projects designed to enhance the civil aviation system. Additionally, it reflects Oman’s focus on environmental sustainability and emissions reduction, while promoting the exchange of expertise and engagement in global initiatives that support the safety, security and sustainability of the aviation sector. — ONA
