Generative AI hackathon runs through oct 29

 

MUSCAT: The Generative Artificial Intelligence Hackathon (Mulham), kicked off on Saturday and will continue until October 29.
The launch ceremony was held under the auspices of Rear Admiral Ali bin Abdullah al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).
Organised by the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies in cooperation with several partners from the public and private sectors, the competition aims to motivate young people to create creative technical solutions that address societal and economic issues, with teams competing to develop prototypes of digital projects in fields including cybersecurity, education and learning, and customer service.
The competition is organised within the framework of the plans and programmes carried out by the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, and in preparation for this year’s national symposium titled ‘Public-Private Partnership to Generate Job Opportunities.
The competition is supported by Omantel, the National Bank of Oman, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), and the Programming Academy. The number of teams that applied for participation reached (130), of which 25 teams qualified. — ONA
