Dr Siju George, an Orthodontist from Oman, was recently awarded two of the highest honours at Invisalign’s global recognition event, a recognition that specialists in the field aspire to achieve.
Dr Siju received both the Apex Award and the Leading Star Award, accolades reserved for the most accomplished practitioners of aligner orthodontics worldwide.
This recognition marks a crowning moment for the Muscat-based specialist, who has long been regarded as a trailblazer in the field.
In addition to receiving the awards, Dr Siju addressed the international gathering, delivering a session on the Invisalign Palatal Expander – an innovative technology reshaping treatment options for patients with complex orthodontic needs.
Dr Siju also holds the distinction of being the only Diamond Apex provider in the Middle East with Invisalign Expert status, placing him within an elite circle of orthodontists globally.
Beyond his practice in Muscat, Dr Siju is an internationally respected voice in orthodontics, having treated over 12,000 orthodontic cases, making him one of the most experienced aligner practitioners in the region.
His expertise has taken him around the world as a sought-after speaker at global conferences and academic forums. Dr Siju has also contributed to the acclaimed reference work “Atlas of Aligner Treatment and Planning”, edited by orthodontic luminaries Prof Ravindra Nanda, Dr Tommaso Castroflorio and Dr Francesco Garino.
The book features 50 detailed cases from 30 of the world’s leading aligner experts, including Dr Siju’s clinical case – a milestone he describes as “a proud moment not just for myself, but for orthodontics in Oman.”
Dr Siju, who founded the Wassan Specialty Dental Centre in Muscat, was recognised on the European stage when he became the first doctor from both the Middle East and Asia to receive the Excellence Award from the European Board of Aligner Orthodontics (EBAO) in Valencia, Spain, in 2024.
With these new awards, Dr Siju’s career continues to highlight the progress of orthodontics in Oman and the growing influence of specialists from the region on the global stage.
