International Scouts Summer Gathering ends

SALALAH: The International Scouts Summer Gathering, organised by the Bausher Sports Club Scout Troop and Al Batinah Scout Council under the slogan 'Our Identity Strengthens Our Values', concluded on Monday at the Permanent Scout Camp in Jabal Ashur Plain in Dhofar Governorate.
The event was supervised by the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides at the Ministry of Education.
The gathering brought together 200 scouts and leaders from various scout troops across Oman, as well as participants from Arab and friendly countries. The event aimed to develop scouting and leadership skills while providing a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas and reinforcing values associated with national identity.
The multi-day programme featured a variety of activities, including scouting competitions, workshops and training sessions, conducted both inside and outside the camp.
At the closing ceremony, Mohammed bin Saif al Busaidy, Wali of Salalah and patron of the event, distributed certificates to participants and honoured the contributing organisations that supported the success of the gathering. - ONA
