IBRI: In line with its commitment to community engagement and raising awareness of its national role, the Majlis Ash'shura hosted students from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Ibri at its headquarters.

During the visit, the students learned about the legislative and oversight powers granted to council members under the Basic Statute of the State and the Law of the Council of Oman. The briefing also highlighted the work of the council’s standing committees, the organisation of sessions and the legislative process for draft laws referred by the Council of Ministers, as well as those proposed internally.

Students attended part of a live session in the main deliberation hall, observing council members' discussions with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion. The delegation also toured the council’s facilities, including the Majlis Oman library and learned about the advanced technologies supporting session management and monitoring.

This visit is part of the Majlis Ash'shura’s ongoing efforts to enhance youth awareness of its legislative role and to introduce them to the work of state institutions in national decision-making and sustainable development.
