HM discusses regional crisis with leaders of Jordan and UAE

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held two separate telephone calls today with King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During both calls, the leaders exchanged views on the concerning developments in the region, particularly in light of the recent US attacks targeting facilities inside the Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussions underscored the serious repercussions these actions may have on regional security and stability.
The leaders emphasized the urgent need to intensify regional and international coordination to contain the escalation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel. They stressed the importance of protecting the region from the scourge of crises and disasters while safeguarding its peoples, infrastructure, and achievements.
All sides expressed their rejection of the recent US actions, viewing them as provocative steps that undermine de-escalation efforts and heighten tensions. They warned that continued escalation could lead to grave consequences threatening the security and stability of the entire region.
