Foreign minister: Omani-Iranian relations are based on respect and positive cooperation

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran established ages ago.
These relations, he said, are solid and deeply rooted ones and are characterized by mutual respect, trust, and positive cooperation for the good and benefit of the two neighbouring peoples and the wider region.
In comments to the media, the foreign minister said: “We look forward to working and building on the visit of the Iranian President to launch a new phase of prosperous relations taking our relations to far-reaching horizons in various political, diplomatic, economic, commercial, and cultural fields.”
Regarding the Iran-US nuclear talks, the foreign minister said: “The talks are ongoing, and we hope they will achieve the desired outcome that satisfies both parties and serves global security and stability.” — ONA
