Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced the closure of turning lanes at Al Zulfa Roundabout in both directions as part of measures to improve traffic flow on Sultan Qaboos Street.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ROP said the closure affects the designated U-turn lanes leading into and out of the roundabout. The move is aimed at reducing congestion along the vital thoroughfare that serves key residential and commercial areas.
Motorists are advised to use the nearby bridges as alternative routes. The police have called on drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic instructions to ensure road safety and smooth vehicular movement.
