The Second round of the 2024-2025 Junior Basketball League Finals witnessed Seeb Club defeating Nizwa Club 79-71, while Al Amerat Club prevailed over Salalah Club 66-43. Both matches were held at the secondary hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. With these results, Seeb now tops the standings with 6 points, followed by Al Amerat with 5 points and Nizwa with 4 points.
The first match showcased varying levels between the two teams, as Seeb managed to secure a deserved victory over Nizwa 79-71 without facing major difficulties, benefiting from their early dominance in the first two quarters.
Seeb entered the match strongly, imposing their superiority in the first quarter by scoring 26 points against just 12 for Nizwa, relying on quick spread and organised attacks. Their dominance continued in the second quarter, adding 22 points compared to Nizwa’s 18, ending the first half with a comfortable 48-30 lead for Seeb.
At the start of the third quarter, Nizwa mounted a successful offensive surge, managing to narrow the gap by scoring 19 points while limiting Seeb to just 9, bringing the score to 57-49 at the end of the third quarter. In the final quarter, both teams exchanged points evenly, with each scoring 22 points, allowing Seeb to maintain their lead until the final whistle and win the match 79-71.
