Oman Shotokan instructors achieve black belts

Nine elite instructors were successfully promoted during the Black Belt (Dan) examinations held on April 19.
MUSCAT: In a new achievement for the Shotokan Karate Association in the Sultanate of Oman, a group of the association’s elite instructors were successfully promoted during the Black Belt (Dan) examinations held on April 19. This promotion reflects their dedication, consistent training and pursuit of excellence in karate.
Instructor Munthir Bilal Hassan Abdullah was awarded the Fourth Dan black belt, while the following instructors achieved the Third Dan:
Tariq bin Jumaa al Raisi, Khalifa bin Hamad al Rasbi, Mohammed bin Khalfan al Wahaibi, Ashbin Piruly, Ahmed bin Muslim al Siyabi, Ahmed bin Murad al Balushi and Hilal bin Ali al Kindi.
Additionally, Waleed bin Khalid al Mahmoudi earned the Second Dan black belt.
These promotions highlight the high level of proficiency and commitment demonstrated by the association’s coaching team, contributing to the continued growth and success of karate on both technical and refereeing levels.
The Shotokan Karate Association was established in 1999 by Sensei Navaz Mukairi in Muscat Governorate. Since then, it has produced a large number of black belt holders of various levels, as well as a distinguished group of international, continental and national referees. The association has expanded across various wilayats of Muscat, offering high-quality training programmes for all age groups.
