Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned terrorist attack on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir, India, expressing solidarity with the victims and their families.
In an official statement, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the assault on Palli village, extending its 'sincere condolences to the friendly Indian government and people' and wishing a swift recovery for the injured. The ministry reiterated Oman’s 'steadfast rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, regardless of motives or justifications.'
The attack occurred on Tuesday afternoon when gunmen emerged from nearby forests and opened fire on crowds at a popular tourist destination with automatic weapons. A police-verified hospital list confirmed 26 fatalities—all men—marking one of the deadliest attacks in the region this year.
